About the Project

This project consisted of a new 23,000sf two story office/classroom training facility for the T1 Squadron at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, Texas. This projected included full HVAC (Chiller Water, Hot, Water System), Lighting, Power, Energy Management Controls, Public Address System, Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler System, Mass Notification , as well as Communication systems (Horizontal Cable Distribution) including inside and outside plant systems, Cable TV, lightning protection, and a machine-less elevator. Provisions for a portable generator were also incorporated into the building design to provide back-up power to the building. Site utilities included Primary Electrical Service and Outside Plant Communications were also redesigned to serve this project.

 

This project was designed as a LEED Certifiable Silver Building and included features such as Indoor Air Quality Monitoring, Water Efficient plumbing fixtures, Energy Saving Lighting, and Building Lighting Controls. Project cost is estimated at $7 Million. This project was design/build project for the USACE and was completed in 12 months.
